Non lo faccio mai, non copio mai i testi di canzoni su questo blog. solo qualche frase, qualche volta. perchè non lo trovo onesto, non trovo onesto che siano parole già dette, scritte e cantate a simboleggiare il mio stato d'animo. anche se effettivamente lo rispecchiano. non mi va di avere facili alibi per non elaborare di mio pugno le mie sensazioni. è una scappatoia troppo semplice, troppo diffusa. banale.

Però questa canzone è un capolavoro tra le canzoni d'amore, è dolce e soave, nel testo e nella musica, nel contempo tormentata. comunque sincera, sinceramente coinvolta nella disgrazia di una storia non a lieto fine. come quella di will shakespeare.
ci trovo qualcosa, un'accoratezza, un attaccamento genuino a quanto viene declamato, alla sorte dell'amore in questione.
ci trovo qualcosa di carezzevole, quando lui dice a lei "close your eyes, my young bride". è adorabilmente pura.
è vera, nasce dalle stesse buone intenzioni che animano amori come quello che sto vivendo. mi ci rispecchio, diciamo.
e poi l'amore vero è quello che durante le difficoltà ti sorregge. proprio come in questo caso.
